Father's day chocolate making.

Hi, it's been so long since i last posted. So before father's day, my sister bought some chocolate from the bakery supplement shop, chocolate chip type (picture below) and wanted me to do some chocolate for dad during father's day.

She got me some almond too.

So i decided to heat up the almonds in the baking oven for 15 minutes or so while i started preparing the chocolate.

These are the models provided to give shape to the chocolate that i am about to melt.

This is the chocolate chip
it comes in a packet. If you'd like to know where to buy this, contact me on facebook or email so i can show you directions. :)

Next is to melt the chocolate
Melting chocolate is fun, you melt chocolate to eat marshmallow, fruit dips, or even create chocolate :)
 Your pick.

So to create this, it's really easy. I fill the cooking pot with water, remember to fill it full if u're gonna heat it for long to prevent loss of water and burn up the whole thing black.
wait for the water to release steam.
And put a bowl covering the whole opening of the pot, and then put chocolate chips that you're about to melt on the bowl. If you're trying to melt cooking chocolate or stuff like bars and stuff, i did it before, and it doesn't melt =_= it annoys the crap outta me and i added water.

DO NOT ADD EVEN A SINGLE DROP OF WATER TO THE CHOCOLATE.
it ruined everything.
Seriously,
listen to me.

while waiting for the chocolates to melt, i'm putting the melted chocos on the model, in the picture, a heart shaped model and shape them using a chopstick. Toothpick is recommended.
Because if you don't, they're gonna stay solid and the shape is reallyyyyy weird. Melted chocolate are NOT LIQUID, they don't shape themselves. So use chopstick or toothpick to shape it according to the model shape.

My first ever almond FAILED. Reason: i heat it for too long. Moral of the story is, not too much heat, and take out as soon as possible. It totally turned black. And the worst thing is i tasted it. Oh, you don't wanna mess with black almonds. Um, i mean BURNT almonds.

To fill almond in, first fill the heart 2/3 full with choc and then put almond, and then cover it up with chocolate.

After finishing everything, put in your freezer to freeze it. For me, i freeze it overnight.

And here is the end product.

Cute suit and bow tie choco.
