Nature in UTAR, Kampar REVEALED!

Before i go into the nature part of the post. First i just want to update about a few things regarding the university. As i was having class more on the science students' block which is Block D, previously they had this corridor which display a lot about science stuff and facts.

p/s: below some photos there's caption, so if you don't get it, read the captions. Thx.
Facts

They have different different facts and all. Some are really interesting that got me going.."WHHHAAAAATTTT? SERIOUSLY????"

Looking down from 2nd floor.

Close enough.
Posing with one of the macropha,.... i hope it's not a bacteria or something

NATURE OF UTAR
Okay, back to our topic. Today i'm gonna show you some parts of UTAR that u MAY or MAY NOT have seen or went before. Maybe the seniors have went before lah, i'm not sure. But i'm totally awed by the beauty and nature of the university. I mean... where else can you find university with ... jungle treks and lakes and forest inside?!

Not sure about Sabah and Sarawak or other ulu-ulu places in Malaysia, but in front of my eyes, there's one. I wonder why they didn't bring us there during campus tour?
Here's a photo of students cycling to morning class. It was 8 am, and guess what? It's the perfect time to cycle to class because the sun's not that bright yet, and the wind is actually really chilly. It's enjoyable, until... May intake students came in. HAHA, it's a total chaos because the students are all going to 8 am classes, and it's like they planned ahead to all go at the same time? So i cycled outside from the bicycle lane or else i have no idea what might happen in the inner lane with all the students inside. There's a few reckless bikers where they will cycle real fast, cut lanes and just silently appear beside you and will shock you to death.

It wasn't like this during January intake. This is chaotic and .. congested.

Next up, (SORRY, I THOUGHT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT NATURE... IT'S COMING UP, BEAR WITH ME FOR JUST A WHILE) those who're studying in UTAR and ALWAYS GOES TO THE LIBRARY will understand the above picture. This is what happens during EVERY WEDNESDAY. It's weird, i know, but it only happens on wednesday(or maybe other days too but i've never encountered it except for wednesday), it's like the office decided to put everyone on break from classes during 12-3pm. You can hardly find any seats in the library.

So terrible that even bags are allowed to put inside, just beside the checking counters. The library was very noisy, it doesn't seem like a library to me at all. More like.. a market place. But other than that, the other days was okay.
Alright, i apologize, now the nature's post is finally here. HAHA. So the other day i went jogging with my friend, and because we're walking, the stuff we see and observe is totally different from a biker's point of view. When you're walking, you see things differently, they don't just flash by you, you can also stop to see things even clearer. We walked DEEP into UTAR i'll say. Because i said i was jogging, i did not bring camera with me, so i went back, and came with another friend, this time cycling.

Going out from UTAR.

Bicycle lane (Left) and car lane (right)

Here's a notice board you can find beside the lake in UTAR. Talking about this lake, you can see a lot of uncles and aunties fishing in the lake. It's like, they fish it and sell or eat or just for fun, i have no idea at all. But EVERYDAY without fail, there's always someone there fishing.

For those who always take shortcuts, you will know that this part where you go down will connect quicker to block B. Or when my energy storage is drained [due to the steep road up the hill (!!!!) ], i'll take this route, because you'll be sliding down the steep part where it feels like.... roller coaster?

Here's the gate to KTAR, most of the time when there's a security guard there, they won't allow you to cross because there's one time a guard told me "KTAR that side will scold us." And i was like "okay, i don't want you to get scold, so imma..go. "

The guard booth.

Here's a panorama view

And that would be block B. Where most of the foundation students study, sometimes even science students.

If you're wondering who's that white shirt red pants girl, that's my friend, haha.

This place would normally be full of bicycles and motors, but since it's a sunday, so there's nobody there.

Here's somewhere near to the library, another place to park your bikes, and the building on the RHS of the photo is the block F building where you can buy your bus tickets, gym tickets, pay your student bills etc etc.

And behind of me (from where i'm standing in the top photo), is this beautiful view where nobody stops by usually due to the heaty and bright sun in the afternoon. If they have more shady trees, i guess many would sit on the rocks to chit chat and do their homeworks etc. Just wait for the trees to grow, maybe 10 or 20 years. HAHA.

Sweaty and Selfie.

Another point of view of the mini garden.

And more.

And more.

And more rocks

More bamboos. Oh yeah, talking about bamboos right, UTAR HAVE A LOT OF EM.

Here's the block F i'm talking about.

The lake in UTAR

Panorama of the lake and some garden table and chairs beside the lake, and also a really cute "pondok" with flowers and leaves covering the whole "pondok".

Inside the "pondok".
I truly think that they should build more "pondoks" like this around the school. HAHA

Here's the part where you go in, and then experience some jungle trekking and forest-ish feel.

Here you go :) Really beautiful right? ESPECIALLY MORNING. it's like heaven.

BEWARE OF WILD ANIMALS.
never seen one, but that doesn't mean there's none.
In Kampar, u can see a lot of monitor lizards, big and small, all also got, they all live in the lake i guess. HAHA. We always see a lot in the lake swimming, we all assume they're the lochness monster. HAHA

This path really looks like jungle trekking paths.

Beware of snakes.
Never seen one also, but i can always hear "things" moving around in the bushes.

Cute tree. :D

Like autumn feel. Very romantic leh if dating here. :P

Seriously, students should come here more often to jog and really LOOK at this place. It's so beautiful and fresh and the grass is so green and there's a lake beside you, HOW AWESOME IS THAT???!

If you're wondering, YES, these are ALL INSIDE UTAR, KAMPAR.

From this side, you can actually see the OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE, which is the library, and the finance block and all other utar blocks. Utar is like, surrounding the whole lake in a circular manner.

The faculty of Arts and Social science block. BEAUTIFUH MUCH?!

Here's a pathway that leads you to the "other side of the lake" kinda like a short cut i guess? Just more natural-ish and less road congestion & of course, no cars and engines, fully nature.

Left is lake, Right is lake. And this is the pathway.

Hahahaha, the photos are in opposite manner actually, this is the photo where we're GOING IN utar. HAHA. But oh well. It's still the same.

Oh, and they have a lot of "stations" for all these workout stuff stuff.

WHICH practically no one uses them. Because they all looked so new.

Here's a picture of how PACKED those bikes are from the foundation students this intake. This part of the parking slot is actually newly built, it was still building during january intake period. I guess they're preparing for the may intake students.

So i guess this is it.
