A journey to South Korea pt. 2

We stayed at Seoul for the night when the arrived, in sinseol dong. To be even specific, we stayed in HostelKorea. We were all exhausted when we arrived, so we decided to go have some korean food first. We decided on the nearest restaurant beside the hostel, which by that time was still rather empty.

Like what we faced in the airport, the owners didn't know what we're saying. We actually wanted samples, to see which is the best, then only order in large sum to eat. But it's difficult, so their mother-in-law, or so they called, stood up (She was sitting in a corner initially) and ordered for us. She helped us a lot and showed us great hospitality. I bonded immediately with her. And kept muttering some korean utterances to her and she was laughing so hard i can't see her eyes.

Having a group shot with the ajummas. I love Korean ajummas, they're so friendly.

In my comfortable attire, we went to Myeong Dong, we wanted to see the Myeong Dong church's mass time. Beside the church, there are rows and rows of shopping place.

Myeong Dong church.

Females here veil themselves in mass, unlike here in Malaysia.
Everything in this church is so glamourous and beautiful.
When the mass ended, we stopped by a convenient store to buy some light dinner and snacks.

And we got some Kimbaps. They were really good.
The plan for the next day was to go to Nami Island. The place where they filmed Winter Sonata, that's what everyone said, but i had not watched winter sonata in my life. At least i'm not alone. I heard it's a sad story. I don't do sad stories.

We were waiting for the shuttle bus.

And then we finally arrived in Nami Island.

There are rows and rows of trees parallel to each other in neat order. Many people had photoshoots there just like a model.

The elders took a car or some sort (not sure what's it called) while my brother and his girlfriend rented a couple bike to tour around Nami Island. Me? I walk. Conclusion? Get a bike. Really. You can't finish walking, there's too much to see and too little time.

Later, we proceeded to The Garden of Morning Calm. Definitely a place to calm you down. It's full of plants and flowers, flora and nature. The air is refreshing, and you can spot gardener everywhere trimming the grass, watering them and cater for them like how mothers cater for their child.

There's a little chapel somewhere inside the garden, didn't really go in, but you can hear melodious songs played throughout your time there, mostly praise and worship songs. It's very relaxing and it clears things off your mind.

The next day, we went to Korea's famous everland. One sentence: We had the time of our life there.

The largest wooden roller coaster. 90 degrees drop.

And a beautiful rose garden where you can see all type of rose there. It's supposed to be a rose festival or some sort.

Next day, Namsan Tower. We took a cable car up where the tower is located.

And up there were locks and locks of locks. That's commitment right there people!

This is what i call - innovative.

My sister and her banana milk, again.

Guards guarding the tower the traditional way.

The old fashioned stone wall.

Group shot under Namsan tower.

Oh, we went emart after that. And here's what we bought.

We can pack our stuff into boxes of different sizes and shapes. It's better for mother nature and we can even check-in the boxes as luggage in the airport. Love the concept. Here's my 6th aunt with her self-made handbag.

It's See Von's birthday that night. We gave her a quick and mini surprise in the hostel.

We had the time of our lives in Korea.

And that would be all for my second update. Sorry it took so long. I almost forgot about it. I typed very little because i didn't even know if you guys were actually reading it or just looking at the images. But anyway, feel free to drop me any comments whatsoever on the chat bar on the right. At least i know someone is reading this T_T.
