Anew organic shop @ Subang Jaya

Due to homesickness, i went home 2 weeks later after the sem break. Monday was Hari Raya Haji, so i had a day off from the university. At first i didn't want to go back, but mom wechat me earlier in the morning on Thursday and she said if i wanted to go back, i can go back. She said she forgot that monday was holiday. So i was like "yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!!"

That morning, i tried to purchase train ticket home, and with some luck, that friday (whole day), only had 2 seats left. Because i was going back, so May said she wanted to go back too, and we both bought the last 2 tickets for that friday. We took separate trains home.

Saturday morning - i went to the morning market with mom. Purchased some vegetables and ingredients together, mom bought me some vegetables to bring to Kampar. :D

I have totally NO IDEA why hometown stuff is always better. Maybe cause mom picked them, so they tasted extremely nice. Fresh and mouth-watering vegetables.

When i reached home that day, i asked mom "When are we going to eat Lei cha at Jusco?" According to mom, Jusco Simple Life have Lei Cha, i've been wanting to eat Lei Cha for a very long time now. And so she said "But daddy and i were planning to bring you to KL and play.." And i was like "AWWWWW YEAAAAAAH!!!"

We went to Subang jaya that area and hunted down a restaurant called Anew Organic Shop. Discovered by my sis from the internet, where they sell Lei Cha there too :D And it's organic, so why not?
Me and sis.
When i first walked in the restaurant, my first impression was, is this a restaurant? It looked very much like a shop selling organic products only, and after walking further into the shop, we noticed there's tables and chairs set inside of the shop, and surrounded by packets and packets of organic food. For a second there, i thought i was in heaven.

Since the day i started practicing clean eating lifestyle, i've pretty much buy a lot of organic food. And mommy had been my greatest supporter, she'd allow me to buy healthier food from the organic sections.

Mommy.
The service there was really amazing too. The workers and the female boss was very friendly and full of hospitality and friendly attitude. There's soooo much food to choose from the menu that we were all in deep dilemma! Then the lady boss was like "it's okay, you guys can slowly view the menu. I'll be back later. *with a big wide smile*" The restaurant was also filled with harmonious and relaxing music, not pop, not rock. But relax, like when you're doing yoga that sort of music.

Sister ordered coffee from them.

My brother's green tea.

And we had 4 organic lei cha. Each cost rm10.90.

Came with a cute cup of the lei cha tea, it's to be mixed in together with the rice and the ingredients, that's how you eat it :D
But the cup was too small, therefore very less soup, and if you want to request for more soup, they'd charge you for it.

Their healthy version of ice kacang.

Daddy and mommy with their lei cha

The lei cha is really worth it, the portion size was no KIDDING! it was superb big! And by the time i finish my bowl, i could hardly breathe at all!

sis' order.

Me and daddy and mommy. Dad's having a mouthful haha!

After having our meal, we went to sunway pyramid to continue with our shopping :D :D

It's always the happiest moment when girls get to shop.
Love this rose hairband, so cute. But i didn't buy it. :P

Been craving for Auntie Anne's for sooooo many days since the last time having it with my coursemates at sunway. You can read the blog post here

Another reason why i get to go home, i get to spend time with my brother, and also Heartsey (my pet dog). We always had a lot of fun time together. Bonding sesh. :)

Updates about my life in semester 3.

Hello! So i've started my 3rd semester, and i spent loads of quality time with my family whilst at home. But when it's time to go back to studying for third semester, it was definitely not enough. I felt like the break is too short. Though i spent time with coursemates, primary school friends, and went a few places with parents, family and my sister, time was never enough. If i could request for more, i would.

I was constantly missing home the first 2 weeks coming back from sem break.

Well, like i said, during sem break we had a get-together with primary school friends. It was Yi Wen and Yik Thong. :D We decided to go to cafe 1986 at Botanic, Klang to meet up and have some time to chat together.

I ordered their burger (there's bacon *drool*), came with salad too.

Overall i think the burger is good, but not as satisfying as i expected.

After the burger, we decided to try something sweet :) So i ordered their oreo cheese cake.

The day before i go back to university, i was sobbing at home, *NOOOO...* like a kid, who doesn't want to go back to school after the holidays. *laughs*. Why does the time pass by so fast? :(

Then sister wechat and asked "Want to go yumcha?"

AWWWWW YEAHHHHHHH! :D

We went to near Harbor place's McCafe, embarrassed to say this but it was my first time in McCafe, frankly i didn't even know McDonald have a cafe. They have all this brownies, cheesecakes.... Drooling non-stop.

Let's see the design of McCafe and Cafe 1986.

Ordered a muffin and some light coffee that night. Still slept soundly. :D
I give the muffin a thumbs up, very big and tasty!

With sister. :D

With brother. My sem break ended while his just started :(

The next day after attending the weekly Sunday mass, i had my last lunch with 2 of my brothers before going back to Kampar. It was a very long wait, around 40 minutes+ but in the end when i get to taste it, it was very worth it!

Whilst i was at home, i ate a lot of food, it was very very heavy and i reckoned i gained a lot of water weight. *OMIGOSH* So once i got back, the first thing me and May did was... grocery shopping! *laughs* Yeah, we stocked up on a lot of fruits, vegetables, and eggs, tofu & more.

The first week was a bore. I spent my days reading the fault in our stars (I think the book is just nice.) and munching on my salad, with my own lemon and honey dressing. SOOO GOOD!

Relaxed much?

There's the red quinoa (mother of grains), mashed potato, spinach, and egg with tomato in a small bowl
Portion control is the key :D

I also work out every evening, doing exercises and sweat a lot!
It's good for studying and our brain as well, after exercising i find it very refreshing and can remember things better.

Some days, i would go to the morning market at old town with my 小蓝 (bike) and buy some fresh ingredients from the market. :)

Another weeks' worth of groceries.

Salad (chopped up) with tuna and egg. :D

And as usual, every week we have gathering together for the catholic student society chinese group.
Here's the gang that went to KL with me during sem break. You can read my previous post to find out. :)

That's my hair after bathing, and together with May, (she found out this really cute heart-shaped tomato).

There's this day, where we suddenly craved for cakes. So for the whole afternoon it was raining cats and dogs. It wasn't pleasant, when cravings hit, gosh it's hard alright.
Finally at 6pm, when the rain looked like it stopped, we grabbed our hats and went out to wait for Christovery and Marion. When they arrived, it started pouring again.
We decided to go at 7pm.

It was a long wait! Whole day of waiting just to eat this super delicious chocolate banana cake at Secret Recipe!

The four of us together, each bought a different taste and we get to taste all four :D

There's green tea cheesecake, chocolate banana, Chocolate walnut, and Chocolate indulgence.

Cheat meal... lol. After eating the cake, obviously we felt that it's never enough, so we walked a few steps, reaching cafe 71, we tried out their western chicken chop. I was so full that day i walked like a grandmother.

My chicken chop and pork chop (half half) from May @ Cafe 71.

After eating such a heavy meal, we walked around and just slack to digest away the food. Reaching home, sat for awhile, i started my usual exercise routine. Gotta burn away all those fats i just consumed.

Eat more fruits everyday, because you know they're good for you :)
Once in a while, have fun.
